| Action Learning is a simple and powerful tool for accelerating personal and professional learning and development. It enables people to learn from each other, solve problems and get things done. It is a learning tool which can be applied to issues and challenges at work and in our personal lives. What is an Action Learning Set? An action learning set might comprise of colleagues within an organisation or it might be made up of a group of people from different organisations with a common interest, for example: one of the learning sets we facilitated was with a group of early years managers who all worked for the same nursery chain; another group was made up of parents and another was a group of individual leaders in childcare services meeting together to develop and share good practice. How does an Action Learning Set work? The life and size of the set, frequency of meetings, ground rules and processes will all be agreed by the members. Learning comes from supporting and challenging each other to think, take action and reflect. The set:
We also have facilitators who are experienced in dynamic governance (Sociocracy) and can lead meetings which engage everyone in decision making processes. Many of the problems in organisations stem from people not feeling heard and valued. Have you ever wondered how much of this is due to the way that decisions are made? If you are keen to engage people in your organisation in making and executing decisions, this maybe something that you might be interested in. If you would like to establish a learning set do contact us. We can provide you with an experienced facilitator from out team. |
