| We deliver the themes and principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage through a sound active learning model based on a well researched philosophy committed to making a difference in society. “Numerous settings across the UK, including schools, family centres, after-school clubs, crèches, primary schools, childminders, special needs settings and assessment centres, have achieved Investors in Children status and outstanding Ofsted results, with the benefit and support this training” High/Scope UK. See EPPE Project and significant benefits by Schweinhart and Weikart 1993 The REFLECT Training Programme facilitates effective implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage through day events or an 18 module High/Scope Implementation accredited programme covering: Learning and Development: you will explore how children learn actively, through their own intrinsic motivation and will reflect on how children make decisions, personalise their learning and make connections across all areas of learning. The Enabling Environment: will help you review, design, equip and enrich the indoor and outdoor learning environments and schedule routines. Emphasis is on facilitating children to make their own choices, as well as being able to follow activities initiated by adults and lead activities themselves. Starting with the child you will refine your skills in observation and assessment and consider the next steps for planning appropriate activities and interactions. Positive Relationships: means forming authentic key relationships and engaging children. You will learn how to share control and support them to initiate ideas, think creatively, negotiate and work collaboratively with others. You will develop communication skills which raise children's intelligence and help them to resolve conflicts. A Unique Child: celebrates diversity, inclusiveness, partnering parents and living in community together. You will examine how we support children's emotional wellbeing. Here are a few comments from participants who attended our programme; funded by Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea: "I have increased my communication skills and the way to solve problems. I try to use more encouragement instead of praise. I learnt about transitions and the way I now interact with children has totally changed" "It was the best training I ever attended because it did not stay at the theory level, but helped me to change my practice" "As this course involved some introspection I understand better the way I react and am therefore able to change the areas I do not like. In particular with the team members, using the High Scope problem solving approach. I try to acknowledge peoples feeling rather than making decisions and finding solutions for them".
